EXPULSION
Subject to the grounds of expulsion contained in the Act, a member may be expelled on the following grounds:

Where his activities are detrimental to the society's interest particularly if he makes consciously untrue statements to the management Committee, the Supervisory Committee or the Annual General Meeting.

Where a member fails to fulfill any of his/her obligations to the society as required by the applicable law.

If he/she is convicted in a court of law of a criminal offence involving dishonesty or fraud or is imprisoned for a period of three months or more.

If he/she is discovered to be a member of another savings and credit Co-operative society.

Acts in any manner prejudicial or detrimental to the interest of the society.

If the person was admitted to the membership of the society in contravention of the Act, Rules and By-laws.

Willfully defaults in the repayment of loans due for a period exceeding 3 months fails to save regularly. In this case one is deemed a regular saver when he

Saves at least eight times in a financial year.

Any other reason approved by the general meeting or as may be contained in the society's code of conduct.
